What I'm About.
WHERE I'M FROM
From a small town called Rambukkana. Born in Kandy, moved to Colombo at 19 for university, but Rambukkana is still home.
WHAT I USED TO DO
At 5, my uncle gave me a computer. I learned by breaking things and putting them back together. At 15, I imported used tablets from a sketchy Korean site and resold them to incoming uni students, mostly because I needed money to keep upgrading my computer. In my second year, I walked hotel-to-hotel in slippers, selling websites and booking portals as a service.
I graduated in 2017 with a BSc (Hons) in computer science, and along the way realized I cared less about code and more about whether a product actually Looks & worked for people.
WHAT I DO NOW
I started at John Keells IT ↗, spent several years at Dialog Axiata ↗, then led UX for Sustainability and Emissions inside IFS Cloud ↗. Today I’m building my own company, WizLabs ↗, an AI-first B2B product suite. Most of my work is taking complex systems and making them practical, with AI as part of the process to cut complexity.
WHERE I'M AT
Based in Sri Lanka, working on products used globally. Outside work, I spend a lot of time in the Himalayas, Nepal or North India. That’s where I slow down and think clearly.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
Work that feels meaningful. Teams that value clarity. Products that respect the people using them.
Things can be simpler, calmer, and more honest if we choose to design them that way.
